Central Administration
The School of Nursing and Midwifery falls under the College of Health Sciences of the University of Ghana. It is headed by a Dean who reports to the Provost and is responsible for the academic and administrative functions of the School. She is advised by the School Management Committee and assisted by the School’s Administrator and other support staff in the day to day administration of the School.
The School has five (5) academic units, with each unit having a separate head of department responsible for the daily academic and administrative functions of the unit. These are the;

• Department of Adult Health Nursing
• Department of Community Health Nursing
• Department of Mental Health Nursing
• Department of Maternal and Child Health Nursing and
• Department of Research, Education and Administration

It has 20 academic staff and 25 support staff of various profession and administration.
