Day 2 of UGHANMSA's 37th health Week Celebration: GOSPEL ROCK SHOW

The University of Ghana Nursing and Midwifery Students Association (UGHANMSA) health week continued with a Gospel Rock Show as scheduled on the March 25, 2018. A Gospel rock show which was a the first of its kind collaborated between the Nurses Christian Fellowship (NCF) and UGHANMSA. It was dubbed “In His Presence”. The opening prayer was led by Mr. Kingsley Kofi Boateng who is the current prayer secretary for NCF. Miss Ivy Tawiah Addo introduced the august guest ministers and the host choir to the turnouts at the gospel rock show. The NCF choir was the host of the inaugural Gospel rock show.

The Show began with the ministration of Minister Praise who stirred the worship mood of the audience with Twi and English medleys and later on switched to praises. He led the ministration with his own song. Further, Miss Huldah Dellor led the audience into the presence of the Lord since she is the leader of NCF choir.

Minister Sammy Sackey, a spirit filled man of God got the almost tired audience on their feet when he described how the Northerners worshipped God although they had no chairs and musical instruments. The student congregation present were however motivated to drench their hearts into the worship songs. The crowd was swayed by the Twi medley performance of the NCF chorister which prepared bodies, souls and minds.  Blessing, a level 100 lady made a seasonal spoken word.

Peter, a Saxophonist, got the crowd singing along the songs as he skillfully played. Minister Kwame sang while the Heaven on Earth Shakers danced as it was expected of them. Five ladies from ‘Heaven on Earth Shakers’ cheered the crowd with their moves.

Mrs. Bernice Offei, a passionate and sensational gospel artiste honored the invitation.  She sang most of her songs and jived the crowd. Such spirit filled moment were captured on their phones. The Show came to a close by a beautiful song ministration from Minister Sammy Sackey. He led the audience during the offertory. Level 400, Ama Serwaa, blessed the offertory. Presentation of the citation of honour was given to Mrs. Bernice Offei by the NCF and the UGHANMSA presidents. UGHANMSA and NCF presidents issued a closing prayer and a vote of respectively.
