THE (SONM) HOSTED INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS FROM THE NORWEGIAN UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY (NTNU)

The School of Nursing and Midwifery, University of Ghana, Legon (SoNM) hosted International Students from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). The students comprised of eight (8) Bachelor of Nursing students and two (2) postgraduate Public Health Nursing students who experienced 3 months of clinical placement in Accra, Ghana.

Based on the Global health orientation of training health professionals, the focus of their clinical placement included promotion of healthy communities, disease prevention and treatment of minor ailments among highly populated areas of Accra, the capital city of Ghana. The students also took the opportunity to tour Ghana to see the country side's rich vegetation and culture.

Solveig Kirsti Grudt, an Associate Professor from (NTNU) in charge of the Norwegian students was impressed with the exchange program and assured the continuation of this collaboration between the University of Ghana and the Norwegian University of Science and Technology.
