Admissions Into the BSc. Nursing Special Programme for the 2024/2025 Academic Year 

The School of Nursing and Midwifery, College of Health Sciences, University of Ghana is inviting applications from qualified applicants for admission into a Bachelor of Science (BSc) Special Programme for the 2024/2025 Academic Year. 

ENTRY  REQUIREMENTS FOR BSc NURSING (Weekend) SPECIAL PROGRAMME 

Applicants with a Diploma in Nursing or Midwifery with an FGPA of 2.50 -3.24 will be admitted to Level 200, and 3.25 and above will be admitted to Level 300. Note that this special programme is for Nursing and Midwifery diploma holders only. 

There will be a selection interview to determine eligibility for the programme.  

NATURE OF PROGRAMME AND DURATION 

 The BSc. Special Nursing Programme will be held on weekends at the School of Nursing and Midwifery, University of Ghana for three (3) academic years for Diploma holders with FGPA of 2.50 -3.24, and two (2) academic years for Diploma holders with FGPA of 3.25 and above.  

COST OF APPLICATION FORMS 

University of Ghana online application E-VOUCHERS can be obtained by Ghanaian applicants for Two Hundred and Twenty Ghana Cedis (GH¢220.00) at the following banks: Ecobank, Republic Bank, Agricultural Development Bank, GCB Bank, Zenith Bank, Universal Merchant Bank, CBG Bank, Prudential Bank and Fidelity Bank. 

HOW TO APPLY 

Eligible applicants are to complete the application forms online by visiting http://admission.ug.edu.gh/undergrad. In addition, they would be required to upload the following documents online: 

·      Scanned copy of nursing diploma certificate. 

·      Scanned copy of the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) certificate. 

·      A copy of the transcript from the diploma-awarding institution 

DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION OF FORMS 

All online applications should be completed and submitted by 30th June 2024.
